Innovative production technologies - development supported by European Funds
Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo - Usługowo - Produkcyjne IGUM Sp. z o. o. is implementing a project subsidized by European Funds “Implementation of a process and product innovation in the field of precision metalworking, including the manufacture of steering column worm gear shafts using an innovative process line.”
The subject of this project is the diversification of the company's activities, a fundamental change in the production process and an increase in production capacity through the implementation of a product and process innovation in the field of precision metalworking, including the manufacture of complex steering column worm gear shafts. The project includes the purchase of an innovative technological line that will manufacture target components in a fully automated process. The innovative technological line will achieve the following results:
- The highest classified level of shaft precision (IT5 position and diameter accuracy),
- 100% product safety,
- 3.5-fold increase in production efficiency,
- Significant energy savings (reduction in the cost of energy consumption by 0.07 PLN/shaft);
- greater ergonomics of operation,
- Saving costs associated with handling the process.
The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of Handlowo-Service-Production Company IGUM Sp. z o.o. through the implementation of innovative technology in the field of precision metalworking. This goal will be achieved through the implementation of the following specific objectives:
- Diversification of the company's offerings,
- Improving the quality of services provided,
- Shortening the production cycle and increasing production capacity.

Eligible Expenses: 1 415 130,00 PLN
Contribution of European Funds: 495 295,50 PLN

“Purchase of a 5-axis machining center to maintain jobs and improve the competitiveness of the company”
Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo - Usługowo - Produkcyjne IGUM Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project co-financed by European Funds entitled “Purchase of a 5-axis machining center to maintain jobs and improve the competitiveness of the company”. The subject of the project is to retrofit the machinery park with a modern 5-axis machining center, purchase CAM software and conduct specialized training on the operation of the device and software. Implementation of the project will directly contribute to increasing the production capacity of PHUP IGUM Sp. z o.o. , maintaining jobs and increasing the company's competitiveness. Thanks to the subsidy, the Company will gain the ability to accept and execute short-run orders with the help of precise 5-axis machining and software facilitating quick adjustment of the machining program for a given detail.
